The GLIDE on the OPUS device is made up of metal prods, these are charged with radiofrequency energy. The RF energy reacts with atmospheric pressure to create plasma energy. Consultation

During our initial consultation we will ask about your medical and prescription history and discuss what results you are looking for. It is essential for our team to understand your aesthetic expectations so that we can develop a treatment appropriately. After deciding if OPUS is the right treatment for you we will provide you with a skin care management system to be used for the next 2 weeks to prep your skin. Finally we will set a date for your treatment.

Preparation

After the initial consultation you should start using the skin care management system. It is also important to stay hydrated and avoid long exposure to UV rays in preparation for the treatment.

Procedure

The first step of the OPUS Plasma treatment is to administer a topical anesthetic and let it sit for 20-30 minutes, this will ensure that you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure. Next the practitioner will move the opus device around the treatment area until it is thoroughly addressed. Once that is done a protective balm will be applied to the area to help create a seal and protect the skin. Before you leave you will be given an appointment to come back for your session in 4 weeks.

Recovery

You might experience redness and swelling for the next 24-48 hours and your skin might be pixelated for about a week. It is important that you avoid UV exposure for the next 2 weeks, use a medical grade SPF when going out in the sun. You should also discontinue any harsh chemicals like retinol or hydroquinone for about 7 days.

Results

The best results are seen after 3 treatments however patients report seeing noticeable results after just 1 treatment! The results will last for about 3 years if you take care of your skin accordingly. It is important to note that this treatment does not stop natural aging and new wrinkles may form.
